Today is the first day our nightmare is over. This daycare is ill-equipped to handle children who do not want to take naps and don't get me started on the amount of days we had to pay despite being called to pick up our daughter as well as for AC loss, weather closings when roads were fine, and electricity loss. I liked the Pastor but this is the daycare review and when you charge big prices for the services, it should not be a situation where the most stress in your day comes from a daycare where it is constantly - what's next? I don't think those running the daycare should be allowed to call it daycare and I say this with the support of numerous parents, who like us, where floored by what we were even paying them for. We had finally had it and decided to remove our daughter. Then, we were roped back in as we were informed that there would be increased staff in April to accommodate. We ended up turning down a nice daycare because it was about keeping our kids together at this point and it all sounded promising. As it would turn out, after numerous weeks that seemed overall good, we get a call out of the blue (no communication) telling us that we had 2 days left - our daughter was kicked out. We panicked. Both my wife and I had been in trouble with our careers because of work missed when this daycare couldn't handle a 3yr old girl who didn't want to take naps on occasion and saying no was enough to boil over the attitudes of the staff - nice that they still charge you. We were well into weeks of paid service (with no service) - the result of us having to pick up our kids early or taking weather days when everyone else remained open. Now, feeling the stress and whiplash of this "your daughter is done here" (after WE came back and after we turned down a different daycare because they were "staffing up" and after feeling slightly relived from the unprecedented stress, and after we voluntarily wanted her out of there but kept the "faith" - that is a slap in the face. On a good note, the pastor gave us some time but only after having a meeting and pleading for a little more time considering they do not communicate. The two women in charge came across as having it out for our child and we sensed it all along. When I say nightmare, I mean it. No business in taking care of kids. The night staff was awesome and I know if they were running things, we'd have never had half the issues we did. Just knowing our kids are elsewhere is a HUGE relief - I never thought I'd get to experience the lows in life from a Church daycare but this one made everyday negative and our shared stories with other parents had them fuming for us. Honestly, I'm not sure what we were paying for but I will say, this review in no way reflects the afternoon staff. So glad to be done. Was looking forward to a nearby church (we live close) but there's no way we're going back there.

UPDATE: After a month into a new daycare we have not had one problem or one call. It's actually the opposite where they are impressed with our girls. So so nice to be done here!

  • Very caring staff and good curriculum. Summer day-care program rocks with theme weeks, field trips, and swimming outings.
